Sterling Silver & Mixed Metals Aesthetic Napkin Ring by Gorham in the Cairo pattern - weighs 1.60 troy ozs. The Cairo pattern was the most difficult to create. Made during the Aesthetic period with lamination of different metals.
Silver, Copper, Brass / Gold metals. Cairo / Curio is a very rare pattern to find. A piece of flatware rarely ever comes to market and a piece of hollowware is practically unheard of. This is the first time we have ever seen a napkin ring in this pattern. This would make an important addition to one's collection.
Marked: with the Gorham hallmarks, STERLING, date mark "L" for 1879, & Other Metals. Measurements: 1 7/8" in diameter and measures 1 3/4" in width. Any dark spots are only shadows from taking the pictures.
