This is a vintage Marshall Field sterling silver napkin ring in the Colonial pattern, from 20th century Chicago. This beautiful piece has a heavy rectangular form with a central medallion engraved "Rodney 1942". The intricate designs are stamped and lightly hammered in the arts and crafts tradition. The mark inside reads "MF & Co Sterling Colonial" in a rectangle. Marshall Field is a major Chicago department store founded in the 19th century.

You can scroll down to see more photos. This collectible item measures 1 7/8" long by 7/8" across and 1 high and weighs. 8 oz (25 gr) on my little scale. It is in very good condition, with normal signs of use and a little tarnish. There are no bends, dings or dents.
