Very elegant antique French sterling silver napkin ring is beautifully designed with two borders of crossed ribbons framing a central pattern of ribbons and leaves with torch, bow, quiver and arrows. There is a blank cartouche in the shape of a shield. Hallmark, indicating the highest quality of French sterling silver (950/1000), used in Paris since 1838. Is the guarantee that the sterling is at least 95% silver.

It also bears the maker's mark of. Master silversmith in Paris between 1886 and 1923, located in the. Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers. The maker's mark is comprised of the initials "G" and "B" surrounding a die above a goblet. This piece is in very good condition.
